The doors of Pretoria Secondary School first opened on the 15th January 2003, making the institution relatively new in comparison to surrounding schools. The purpose behind the opening of Pretoria Secondary School was due to the late 2002 crisis involving the accommodation of Grade 8 learners within Pretoria. This institution along with parties that donated accordingly towards Pretora Secondary School were able to solve the crisis, becoming the home to students and staff members that are determined to learn and achieve regardless of circumstance.
“Together we build.” accurately defines our wonderful school as it reflects how we have been assisted by generous donations from the community as well as how we are raising intelligent and powerful individuals, ready to excel once departed from the school. Our Coat of Arms and motto were both created by none other than the highly accredited Mr Fredrick Bronwell, the architect of our very own South African flag.
On the very brief period of time that we’ve had our doors open , Pretoria Secondary School has seen five domestic athletic models from the PEHMSAA meetings, two cross-country trophies as well as the roaring success of Mr Rufus Muller’s “The Bitter Blue Butterfly” production.
